The township provides an opportunity for citizens to be involved in committees that assist with various township functions.
The Committees of each of the Dorset and Stanhope Museums actively manage their respective museums, events and fund raising on behalf of the township.
The Algonquin Highlands Recreation Committee will be responsible for creating and planning events throughout the Township. Find its Terms of Reference here.
The Airport Events Committee is responsible for all social functions at the airport, such as fly-ins and pancake breakfasts, and provides assistance with marketing of the airport facility. Find terms of reference for the Airport Events Committee here.
The Committee of Adjustment assists the Building and Planning departments in dealing with Minor Variance applications. Find Committee of Adjustment Procedures here.
The Cultural Resources Committee oversees implementation of the vision, goals and outcomes of the 2014 Municipal Cultural Plan.
The Environment and Stewardship Committee provides support to Council on environmental initiatives, energy conservation measures and waste diversion with an emphasis on public education and inter-agency collaboration. Find terms of reference for the Environment and Stewardship Committee here.
