AHFS hosts Fire Prevention Week open houses on Oct. 9

Next week is Fire Prevention Week and Algonquin Highlands Fire Services will be holding open houses at each of its three fire stations on the evening of Wednesday, October 9 from 5 to 7 p.m. 

Residents will be able to visit the halls in Stanhope, Dorset and Oxtongue Lake, meet AHFS members, check out the equipment, pick up some fire safety tips and learn about how a volunteer fire department operates.
