Winter Hours are in effect from October 16 to April 30

Reminders:

  • To access waste disposal sites, you must show your PINK landfill user ID card or have a cottage kit landfill pass.
  • Site conditions can change quickly during winter weather, and roadways and walkways may be slippery and/or snow-covered at times.
  • Winter weather events may impact operating hours; please check news and notices for information regarding closures, delays in opening, and other service impacts. Whenever possible, notices will be posted on social media, and notifications will be sent from the Waste Wizard app.

Waste Disposal Sites

Note: Site attendants are not able to assist in lifting heavy items. If you required assistance to load items in your vehicle, please ensure you have assistance for unloading at the site.

The Township of Algonquin Highlands operates four waste management sites and offers a broad range of waste diversion programs. You will need a Township of Algonquin Highlands Landfill User ID card, Cottage Kit landfill pass, or have a completed contractor authorization form to access waste management sites. Materials can be brought to any of the four waste management sites during operating hours. There is no curbside collection of waste in the Township of Algonquin Highlands
