    The Township of Algonquin Highlands is updating its Corporate Communications Plan in 2024, and you can be part of that process by taking a brief survey.

  • Take the Algonquin Highlands Sign By-Law Survey

    Algonquin Highlands Council is considering the creation of a Sign By-Law to regulate signage on municipally owned property, including road allowances and other public spaces, within the Township.

  • Take the Algonquin Highlands Fireworks Survey

    At the recommendation of the Environment and Stewardship Committee, the Council for the Township of Algonquin Highlands is considering further restrictions to the lighting and sale of fireworks within the Township, including the possibility of a complete ban. The Township is seeking input from residents to assist with the decision-making process around this issue.

  • Seeking public input on Russell Landing rehabilitation project

    The Township of Algonquin Highlands will be working this year on a construction project to rehabilitate the existing retaining wall at Russell Landing on Kawagama Lake, located at 1518 Russell Landing Road. Work is tentatively planned for September, pending contract and design finalization.

    The Township of Algonquin Highlands is hosting a spring fly-in at the Stanhope Municipal Airport on Saturday, May 4 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

    Council invites letters of interest from members of the public who are interested in serving on the Recreation Committee for the remaining term of Council.

  • Statement Regarding Ongoing Issues at Maple Lake

    As a result of recent events involving private individuals restricting or attempting to restrict the public’s use of shoreline road allowances, the Township of Algonquin Highlands has had to revert to the unprecedented step of initiating legal action against such individuals.

  • NOTICE: Adoption of 2024 Budget

    NOTICE is provided that the Council of the Township of Algonquin Highlands proposes to enact a By-law to adopt the 2024 Municipal Budget at its Regular Meeting scheduled for Thursday March 21, 2024.

  • Committee Members Required: Environment and Stewardship Committee and Recreation Committee
