Construction underway along Highway 35

Please note that starting Monday, June 10, construction work is underway along Provincial Highway 35 between Carnarvon and Ox Narrows in a project with an anticipated end date of Friday, Aug. 22, 2025.

The project will entail single-lane closures of Highway 35, as well as at the intersection of Highways 35 and 118 in Carnarvon. One-lane closures will be controlled by flagging operations at each work location, and closures will take place between approximately 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. daily.

The scope of work on this project includes culvert replacements, roadway grading, rock scaling, electrical work at the Carnarvon intersection, and the rehabilitation of bridges at Beech River, Kennisis River, Mountain Lake, Ox Narrows, as well as the Halls Lake dam pedestrian bridge.

A map of the work sites can be found below.

Fidelity Engineering & Construction Inc. has been contracted by the Province to complete this work, and if residents have any questions about this project, they can be directed to questions@fidelitygroup.ca
