Short-Term Rental By-Law registration system to be phased in

While the Township of Algonquin Highlands' Short-Term Rental By-Law is officially in effect as of Tuesday, October 1, 2024, the registration and licensing system for the by-law is not yet operational, and will be phased in at a date yet to be announced. 

In the meantime, residents who wish to have a voluntary review of their short-term rental operation are encouraged to contact By-Law Enforcement Officer Robert Mascia at rmascia@algonquinhighlands.ca or 705-489-2379, Ext. 331 or Planner Sean O'Callaghan at socallaghan@algonquinhighlands.ca or 705-489-2379, Ext. 324. 

Further information regarding the registration process will be provided to residents as it becomes available. Please note that in the meantime, there will be no enforcement of the by-law.
