EV Charging station at Township Office temporarily out of service

The EV charging station at the Township of Algonquin Highlands Office located at 1123 North Shore Road is temporarily out of service.

Please check the Ivy network charge hub for the nearest alternative location and the current charging station status.

Airport Events

The Stanhope Municipal Airport is well known as one of the best recreational airports in Ontario. The Stanhope Municipal Airport Advisory Committee plans and hosts a variety of aviation related events at the airport which draw visitors from near and far by foot, car, bicycle and of course - by plane!

Upcoming Events

The Stanhope Municipal Airport Advisory Committee is planning two fly-ins for 2025! A Spring Fly-In will take place Saturday, May 24 while this year's Fall Colours Fly-In will happen Saturday, September 27. There will be vendors, artisans, entertainment and of course a wide variety of aircraft and classic cars!

Classic Events

Enjoy a summer day with the family checking out vintage aircraft, learning about Ministry of Natural Resources firefighting, seeing AHFS fire equipment up close, or taking in the Haliburton Highlands from above with an airplane or helicopter ride. A variety of food and drink is also available. Admission is free. 

Take in the famous Haliburton Highlands fall colours by air, see vintage automobiles and aircraft, model planes and more! Bring the entire family to this fun-filled fall event. Admission is free. 

The next fall colours fly-in is scheduled for September 28, 2024.
