    NOTICE is hereby provided that the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Algonquin Highlands intends to consider amending Comprehensive Fees and Charges By-Law at its regular meeting to be held on Thursday, September 19, 2024. 

  • September 5 Algonquin Highlands Council Agenda

    The next regular meeting of Algonquin Highlands Council takes place Thursday, September 5 starting at 9 a.m. You can find the agenda, including a link to the meeting's livestream broadcast, here.

  • NOTICE: Proposed Road Naming By-Law

    TAKE NOTICE that pursuant to Section 48 of the Municipal Act 2001, S.O., 2001, c25, as amended, the Council of the Township of Algonquin Highlands at its Regular Meeting to be held on Thursday, September 5, 2024 will consider a by-law to provide for the naming and renaming of all public and private roads for the purpose of accommodating the addition of private road names within the Township of Algonquin Highlands as follows: 

  • Algonquin Highlands Fireworks Survey re-opened

    The Algonquin Highlands Fireworks Survey has been re-opened. The survey initially closed at the end of July. Council discussed the survey during an August 15 meeting, with the majority of Council members indicating they would prefer to keep Canada Day, and perhaps additional holidays, open for the lighting of fireworks.

  • Seeking Members for Recreation Committee

    Council invites letters of interest from members of the public who are interested in serving on the Recreation Committee for the remaining term of Council. 

  • NOTICE: Council Tour of Municipal Infrastructure

    TAKE NOTICE members of Council will be participating in a tour, for educational purposes, of municipal infrastructure located in the Township of Algonquin Highlands on Thursday, August 29th, commencing at 9:00
    AM.

  • Call for applicants for Haliburton County OPP Detachment Board

    The County of Haliburton is seeking community applicants for its newly formed Haliburton County OPP Detachment Board. 

  • Fall Colours Fly-In at Stanhope Municipal Airport September 28

    Yes, it's still summer, but the Stanhope Municipal Airport Advisory Committee is hard at work planning the Fall Colours Fly-In! It will take place Saturday, Sept. 28 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
