The nomination period for the October 26, 2026 municipal election is open! 

TAKE NOTICE that a Special Meeting of Council Agenda will be held on June 9, 2026, at 9:00 AM.

The community is invited to the official opening ceremony for the new natural/green burial section of St. Stephen’s Cemetery this Sunday, May 31 at 1 p.m.

A Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event and the first one of the year in the Township of Algonquin Highlands will take place this Saturday, May 30 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Maple Lake Waste Disposal Site at 1302 McPhail Road. 

Help beautify Dorset on the morning of Saturday, May 23 at the annual Pitch-in Dorset Community Clean-Up!

Due to the forecasted weather conditions, we regret to inform the community the Spring Fly-In at Stanhope Municipal Airport has been cancelled for this Saturday, May 23. Due to the forecasted inclement weather, we will not be proceeding with a rain date on Sunday, May 24 either.

You can line dance at the Dorset Recreation Centre throughout June!
