A special meeting of Algonquin Highlands Council will take place on the morning of Tuesday, June 9 commencing at 9 a.m. This meeting has been scheduled in order to proceed with the business, as amended, of Council from its cancelled May 21, 2026 regular meeting.

TAKE NOTICE that a Special Meeting of Council Agenda will be held on June 9, 2026, at 9:00 AM.

Please note that with an absence of precipitation, the fire rating within the Township of Algonquin Highlands has been moved to HIGH.

Please note that the Algonquin Highlands Council meeting that had been scheduled for 9 a.m. on Thursday, May 21 has been cancelled. Residents will be informed if the meeting is rescheduled. 

Due to the forecasted weather conditions, we regret to inform the community the Spring Fly-In at Stanhope Municipal Airport has been cancelled for this Saturday, May 23. Due to the forecasted inclement weather, we will not be proceeding with a rain date on Sunday, May 24 either.

Please note the Township of Algonquin Highlands Administrative Office and Dorset Recreation Centre will both be CLOSED on Monday, May 18 in observance of Victoria Day. The office and the DRC will re-open for their regular operating hours on the morning of Tuesday, May 19. 

Please note that half-load restrictions on Township of Algonquin Highlands roadways have been lifted as of Thursday, May 7.

Fly-In to Spring 2026 will take place at the Stanhope Municipal Airport on Saturday, May 23 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
